Description
This is a fallow deer hide that has been tanned to produce a beautiful rug.
Please note: As this deer was wild animal, and not farmed, it has been legally shot as part of local herd management scheme and because of this there is a small entry and exit wound visible on the underside of the rug.
This rug has a very thick and firm leather over the hind quarters so does not lie fully flat on the floor – it was also shot when it was going from its winter to summer coat so the hair is uneven as patchy where it has both thicknesses.
Deerskins have hollow hair fibres and are prone to breaking and shedding if used as a rug in a high traffic area

This is a natural product and as such, smell, colour and texture can vary throughout the rug.
Rug sizes: Small – up to 75cm. Medium – up to 90cm. Large – up to 105cm. Extra Large – above 105cm
